Development Designer

On What inspired her career

I started in the flexo industry, before moving over into the digital printing world. Being challenged helps me learn, so entering the packaging and development side of the industry is the next step in my education, and a super exciting one.

On her favorite packaging design

One of my favorite places to wander around is a liquor store, checking out all the labels that breweries, distilleries, and wineries print. I love seeing how a company makes its product stand out on the shelf. Seeing a company make the effort to rebrand is especially interesting, as it really shows a brand’s commitment to staying relevant.

On her favorite color, substrate or finish

I am really into shrink sleeve lately, and all the possibilities that come from a great design and really utilizing the white layer and whatever object the shrink is going on. If you throw in a matte varnish on it can completely change the feel and look of the shrink to give you a truly versatile look.

On recharging

I never want to be too far from a good book. I am struck with wanderlust, so stepping outside and breathing in the fresh air in any new place is always a fun adventure.

Fun fact about me

I am an open book, except when someone asks me to describe myself I freeze up. My husband, whom I met on Bumble, always jokes that I am the first woman he swiped on that had a completely blank bio. Seems to me it worked out pretty well.
